Monash College Diploma students in Australia

Use this online submission if you are one of the following:

  • Currently completing Part 1 at Monash College Australia and would like to apply for first year Monash University Bachelor course in Australia.
  • Currently in your final trimester of Part 2 at Monash College Australia and would like to apply for a Monash University destination course in Australia.

NOTE: You must be an international student in Australia to use this page to apply to study at Monash University Australia. If you are an Australian citizen, permanent resident or New Zealand citizen, you must apply through VTAC. Domestic students are eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP). Availability of CSP is subject to quota and varies in each intake. Meeting the minimum published average grade does not guarantee a CSP.

Monash College Diploma students applying for courses at the Monash University Sunway campus in Malaysia and Monash University South Africa should apply directly to the campus.

If you have already completed the Diploma, you must apply through the standard application process.

If you are currently enrolled in a Diploma in Australia and wishing to change your Diploma course in Australia, you should speak to Monash College Student Administration by email or on your campus about the application procedure.

Step 2: Choose your destination course

Your Diploma is a direct pathway to an approved list of destination courses, see below. When choosing your course it is important to check you have satisfied the academic entry requirements, prerequisite study and any additional pre-selection activity. This is your final chance to let us know what you  wish  to  study.

If you choose to apply for a non-approved destination course, your application will be assessed individually. If successful, the one year advanced standing is not guaranteed.

Consider your course options carefully, as this is your final chance to let us know what you wish to study. No further change of course preference will be possible after submission.

Click HERE for the entry scores for your destination degrees.

Important note for all applicants for a double degree with the Faculty of Education courses:

  • You must sit CASPer. CASPer is a requirement for many of the initial teacher education courses in Victoria. It is a non-cognitive online tool designed to assess an applicant's personal and professional attributes.
  • To register for your sitting or further information visit https://takecasper.com/. CASPer can only be taken online, on specific dates between September and January. To ensure you meet the CASPer deadlines for your application go to https://takecasper.com/test-dates/

Step 3: Submit your course preferences

You may list up to three course preferences. Be realistic with your preferences and weigh up all of your options.

Your course preferences will be assessed in the order you have chosen, so place the course you would most like to study as number one, your second choice in second place, and so on. If you meet the requirements of your first preference, we will send you an offer and will not consider your lower ranked  preferences.

You must nominate your course preferences, even if you have a Monash University destination course packaged with your Diploma course. Submitting your course preferences is to confirm your course and provide your back-up options.

IMPORTANT:

  • Please ensure you list the correct course codes. If the course name and course code do not match, Admissions will go by the course code provided. This is your final chance to choose your destination course, so choose carefully.
  • Please include your major or specialisation area if you are progressing to the Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Information Technology, Bachelor of Computer Science and any double degree courses with these courses.

If you wish to keep a copy of your course preference submission, be sure to provide your email address at the end of the online form.

Submission opens 1 – 30 September 2018

Submit course preferences

Once you've submitted, you will not be able to change your course preferences.

Step 4: Accept your offer

Full offer letters will be emailed at least 4 days after results are released. It is important to have your contact details up-to-date, ensuring that you will receive all the important documents for entry into Monash University.

Please update your contact details

Originally packaged destination course

If you receive an offer for the destination course originally packaged in your visa, a letter confirming the full offer will be emailed to you. No action is required from you.

New destination course

If you receive an offer for a bachelor course that is different from the destination course originally packaged in your visa, you must complete Part B of the International Student Course Agreement and email it to mu.documents@monash.edu by the offer lapse date as indicated on your offer letter.

Accept your offer as quickly as possible. Step-by-step instructions on how to accept your offer are available on the 'After you apply' page.

Fees

You do not need to make a tuition payment now. A few days after enrolment, you will receive an email to your Monash student email informing that a fee statement is available online via WES. Payment is normally due a minimum of 11 days from the date of issue.

If you have made a deposit of A$1,000 as part of a packaged offer, it will be automatically deducted from your fee statement.

Step 5: Enrol In Units Online and Register Your Arrival

Enrol in units

You are encouraged to enrol in your units online as soon as you have met all the conditions of your offer and have received notification via email.

* However please note that additional time may be required to process your credit exemptions for your Diploma studies. Therefore you may need to wait until your credits are finalised before you can enrol in your units online.

You must register your arrival at Monash Connect in person by scanning your ID card.

* Please note that Bachelor of International Business or Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of International Business has an earlier enrolment and arrival deadline. Please check this site for updates closer to the time of finishing your Diploma.

Please go to the Get Started website and follow the instructions to enrol in units.

If you nominated to collect your ID card at a campus location, this day is an ideal time to register your arrival.

Orientation

At Monash we want you to feel welcome and at home as soon as you arrive! O Week is held in the week before teaching starts, and it's designed to help you get to know your new university, your fellow students and your campus.

A lot of events and activities are held for new students during this period and all of them are informative and fun. Some are events that apply specifically to the course you are studying.

You can find out more about them on the O Week website.

Orientation Day for the Bachelor of International Business is held at Level 7, 271 Collins Street at 9.00am on Wednesday 20 June.

Are you under 18 years old?

You must be 17 years of age before or on the day you enrol. If you are currently under the age of 18, you will need to ensure that appropriate accommodation and welfare arrangements are in place in the time that you remain under 18 whilst undertaking your bachelor course.
