Bachelor's degree (honours year)
If you have graduated from a Monash Bachelor of Health Sciences or Bachelor of Public Health this honours year is designed for you. You also might be eligible if you come from another discipline. You'll be supervised primarily by staff from the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, although opportunity exists for you to identify a project and co-supervisor with Monash partner organisations such as the Burnet Institute, the Baker-IDI (Heart and Diabetes Institute), and others.
In keeping with the degree's focus on health in a global context and the breadth of expertise in the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine (SPHPM) and its partner organisations, it is expected that a range of local, national, and internationally-focussed honours projects will be available.

Minimum Entry Requirements (International students)
Qualifications
An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in any health science or related discipline* with an average overall distinction grade (70%) or higher in the final year of the course. The final year of the course must include at least 24 credit points (or equivalent) of study in the relevant discipline.
*Relevant disciplines include – medical, nursing, allied health, other health related degree. e.g. chiropractic, psychology, public health, environmental health, paramedic, imaging (radiology, nuclear medicine), biomedical engineering, dietetics / nutrition, pharmacy, social work, medical science / biomedical science / immunology, health science, laboratory science, science, and health economics.
Note: Applicants with a bachelor degree completed more than five years ago need to provide evidence that they have kept their knowledge and skills in the field current through work, clinical practice, professional development, registration with professional body and/or other activities.

Enrolment Obligations
