  • business AI systems – launch a science-tech startup or develop the systems to capture the innovations discovered in labs
  • cybersecurity – build models that predict vulnerabilities in networks and systems
  • games and immersive media – create apps or games that help people get excited about science or educate the public on new discoveries
  • agentic software engineering – make intelligent software that's an active collaborator and amplifies the capabilities of scientists.

Through a combination of professional practice units, other IT work-integrated learning programs, field trips, research experiences and specialist Science study, you'll graduate with a portfolio demonstrating your technical capability and scientific expertise.

The Bachelor of Information Technology degree is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS). Upon graduation, you'll be eligible to become a member, opening doors to invaluable networking and professional development opportunities.

Comprehensive and flexible, the Bachelor of Science allows you to focus on either:
