Assessment

Assessment

Assessment is a key part of education. Through assessment, we ask students to demonstrate what they are learning and also support and shape that learning. As such, how we do assessment has important implications for the curriculum; educational relationships between students, staff and the institution; how students experience university; and the credibility of our qualifications. At Monash, the aim of assessment is to foster lifelong learning and equip students to address complex, often unexpected, societal challenges with capacities to create, question, collaborate and contribute within a landscape of change.

Advancing Assessment

Assessment needs to do more than measure performance in isolated tasks. Explore how Monash is advancing assessment to support meaningful learning and provide credible evidence of what students know and can do.
