Create templates and use MyLibrary

Templates allow you to quickly and easily set up a new FeedbackFruits based on an existing FeedbackFruits activity that you have previously created or that a colleague has shared with you.

1. Click on My Library. You will see a list of templates that have been stored in your library. Templates that have been shared with you appear at the bottom. Templates will be displayed with their date added and the name of the creator.

   

2. Click on the FeedbackFruits template you would like to use. The following will be copied across into the new activity:
   • The activity settings and grading configuration
   • Any notes you have added (visible to academics only)
   • Default instructions for students, which can be modified as necessary

   Note: Groups that were in the previous activity will NOT be copied across.

3. You will be prompted to set up your Moodle groups for your new activity. Select the groups or groupings that you would like to participate in the FeedbackFruits activity, then click Done.
4. Once added, you can modify and customise the activity as needed.
5. Once finished, click Save.

1. Navigate to the FeedbackFruits activity you would like to use as a template.
2. In the top right corner of the screen, click the three dots to view more options.

   

3. Click Create template to create a template with your current activity setup, which includes:
   • The activity name (You can update the template name, if required)
   • Notes (visible to academics only)
   • Instructions (visible to students)
   • Group allocation settings
   • Rubrics
   • Weightings
4. You can modify the name of the template if required.
5. Click Save as template. Your template will be saved to your My Library.

   

1. Navigate to the FeedbackFruits activity you would like to use as a template.
2. In the top right corner of the screen, click the three dots to view more options.

   

3. To share your activity template, select Send a copy.
4. Enter the email of the educator you would like to share your template with and click Send copy.  You can add an additional message if desired.
5. The educator you have sent a copy of your template will receive an email notification and the template will appear in the Sent to me section in their templates list and My Library.

From the My Library page, you can view, edit and share all of your templates in one place, which can be more efficient that sharing templates from individual FeedbackFruits activities.

From the My library page, click on the grey banner that reads You can edit your existing templates and create new ones in the library. This will take you to the page where you can:

• Create a new template from scratch
• Edit existing templates
• Share your template
• Delete a template
• Reorder templates by moving them up or down in the order

Note: This page can only be accessed the when creating a new FeedbackFruits activity via the setup interface. You can create a new activity and delete it after you are done.

Edit and manage templates in My Library

For the activity template you would like to edit, click the three dots. You can:

• Edit a template
• Share your template (Send a copy)
• Delete a template
• Reorder templates by moving them up or down in the order

As Moodle 4.1 is a new instance of Moodle, your Moodle 3.9 account and Moodle 4.1 account must be merged. This can be done on FeedbackFruits’ end.

1. Create a new FeedbackFruits shell activity in your Moodle 4.1 unit. For more information, see Add a FeedbackFruits activity.
2. Once created, access the in-activity support chat. Response times are typically under 10 minutes.
3. Copy and paste the following text to request to merge your account:

   “Hi, my name is First Name Last Name, could you please merge my Monash University accounts, my email address is firstname.lastname@monash.edu”

   

4. Once FeedbackFruits support has merged your account, refresh the page and then check the Past activities list. You should be able to see past activities and templates that were in your FeedbackFruits library.
