Adjust Zoom settings
Zoom is a powerful communication tool with a rich array of settings that enable you to use it in the way that best suits your needs. These mainly control security, accessibility and Zoom functionality. This guide outlines the key settings that you can use to have a better Zoom experience for you and your learners.
To make the most of teaching with Zoom, it is recommended that you turn on some advanced features, such as breakout rooms, polls and non-verbal feedback. You can turn on advanced security settings to prevent “Zoom bombing” - unauthorised access to Zoom meetings by uninvited participants. Please note, setting restrictions will also make meetings less accessible for students and external guests. Keep this in mind to achieve a good balance of security and accessibility.
