Any of the informational sections (except Staff Resources) can be displayed on the Unit Dashboard. For more information, see feature an informational section on the Unit Dashboard.
The assessment summary table is automated, drawing information directly from the assessments themselves. This is to provide students with an accurate summary of their weighted assessments, and to save academics time in setup. If you feel that you require a separate table for information, it can be added on the Unit information tab.
If your unit does not have any content for a learning journey heading in a given learning section, please put a text to media activity and note that there is no content for this section.
On the Schedule tab, click the three dots next to the schedule and select Edit settings. This will bring you to a page with a text box for each schedule section. Enter your additional text here in the appropriate section.
You can add this unit-specific support information including contact details for support people in the Unit Welcome section on the Unit information tab.
There is an alternative template you can use in this instance called the project template. It’s recommended you create a new unit and do an import. This requires less cleanup than doing it via the mass actions tool.
Please be aware it’s recommended you only move to project template where absolutely necessary as the standard template will always provide better auto-population - meaning when you update content in one place, it’s reflected in all places.
You must update the Unit educators listed in the Moodle Unit Preview. Ensure that any contacts you want to be displayed on the Unit Dashboard have this setting applied: Display in sections: Unit dashboard. You can also add scheduled consultation hours and a user profile picture. For more information, see the key contacts guides.
Yes, in the Moodle unit preview, you can select from all individuals assigned the role of Lecturer and tutor for the Moodle unit site to appear as contacts on the unit dashboard. To quickly find a user, you can use CTRL+F or command+F to search for them by name.
Note: By default, contacts will be displayed in alphabetical order.
Once added, your personal profile image will update in the Key Contacts section on the Unit Dashboard after 24 hours.
By default, contributing academics are displayed alphabetically. However, you can nominate one individual in the ‘other primary contact’ section and specify their role in the free text field, for example ‘Chief Examiner’. This will enable them to appear first in the Key contacts section on the unit dashboard.
This is caused by missing information in the sections from which these areas pull. For example, if there’s nothing in the Schedule tab, ensure you have included dates in your Learning sections - as the information is pulled across to populate the Schedule. Assessments will automatically populate if you have select Yes for Does this activity contribute to the final grade of the unit? in the in Monash Assessment activity setting, even if an item is not graded.
Check that the dates on learning sections do not conflict. If the system cannot determine a priority for which section it should show, it will default to showing the first section.
This may be an issue with incorrectly placed <div> tags in the overview. Please review the HTML code of the overview and make sure that all <div> tags are closed.
Tasks will appear in the task tracker if they have been assigned to your role, meaning that students will be able to see tasks that have been assigned to them. You can preview the task tracker as it appears to students by switching to student view by clicking on your name and then Switch role to… and selecting Student.
Contact your faculty Learning Management System administrator. They should be able to add the "Assessments Details" CMS container for you.
Even if one student has submitted the work, all other students should also submit so that they have completed the appropriate acknowledgements of authenticity of their work that are a part of the submission process.
