Podcast exploration

This Bento Box is designed to foster student engagement and critical thinking as students investigate current topics that relate to the unit or a workplace setting. This activity is particularly effective for introducing skills and knowledge that find practical application and reflection in real-world scenarios. Academics can share a curated list of websites featuring a diverse selection of podcasts. Alternatively, students can be encouraged to independently seek out podcasts that align with the themes of the unit.

In this sequence students select and review a podcast that extensively discusses relevant topics. Students are tasked with evaluating the podcast based on predetermined criteria established by the teaching team. This evaluation includes providing a rating for the content shared in the podcast, assessing its direct relevance to the unit, and determining its appropriateness for a broader audience. By linking the podcast content to class presentations and tutorial notes, students can draw connections between theoretical concepts and real-world applications. This integration enhances their understanding and allows for a more comprehensive exploration of the subject matter.
