Edit settings for class recordings

At a glance

Adjust the settings available for a lecture recording in Echo360, including changing availability, editing content and reordering classes within your list. Use these settings to control when and how students can access recordings and to keep your class list organised.

The settings allow you to view the video, create a copy, view video details, edit the description, edit the video, make it unavailable, change availability settings, download the video or completely remove it from the list.

You can access settings for class recordings by clicking on the Green play icon.

You may want to choose when videos are available to students and this can be done via the following settings.
To make your teaching activity recording available or unavailable immediately, click Make Available or Make Unavailable.
Otherwise, click Availability settings if you would like to make your class recording available or unavailable on a specific date.
Note: Availability settings will take effect at midnight of the date specified.
Once you have selected your dates, click Update.

Echo360 provides basic video editing functions that allow you to make cuts and trims to video content as needed. You can save your changes to the original file or you can Save As a copy, so the original recording will remain unedited.

By default, classes in the Class List are listed by date and time, with the earliest lectures appearing at teaching activities appearing at the bottom.
You can choose to reorder the way this is displayed by clicking REORDER. You can choose to display Newest Classes first, Oldest Classes first or Drag-and-Drop into any order you choose. You can also use the arrows to change the order of lectures. Click Save changes when finished.
