Concept mapping

This Bento Box is designed to encourage students to identify key concepts and to develop their understanding of these through a visual display. It promotes interactivity and supports skills in synthesising and communicating complex information. It is best applied when students can organically connect ideas, visualise relationships, and comprehend complex information.

This interactive learning sequence requires students to engage with a set of resources that support the unit or a workplace scenario. They will synthesise and communicate the key concepts identified and display these in the form of a concept map. The crafting of the concept map shows the interconnected web of ideas derived from the key ideas displayed through the reviewed resources. Academics can offer specific guidance towards the key concepts and/or supporting concepts students could focus on, ensuring a purposeful exploration.
