Moodle 4.1 does not accommodate embedded questions in the activity description field, so we recommend adding a text and media area and embedding questions there as an alternative.
Edits made after the quiz has opened will not be seen by students. If you do edit a question, you can use the “Regrade all” function to update. For more information, see Regrade a quiz.

When a Moodle quiz is duplicated, it also duplicates the question bank. It is recommended that you do not duplicate a quiz but create a new quiz, then add questions from the question bank. Alternatively, you can also export and then import a quiz to create a copy without duplicating the question bank.
This happens because quiz questions are tied to the question bank. It is recommended that you create a copy of the quiz question within the question bank, and then edit that copy and then add it to your quiz as a new question.
This can happen if the image has been added via copy/paste and not manually uploaded to Moodle. Ensure that you use the insert image button in the text editor to upload any images.
You can also check the URL of the image to see if it has been embedded correctly. Right click on the image and select Copy link address, you can then paste the image link in another window to view the URL. A correctly uploaded image URL should begin with https://learning.monash.edu/pluginfile.php/
Moodle quizzes will autosave every minute.
No, quizzes with no closing time won’t be affected, you can simply leave the submission time blank as you normally do. This data won’t be brought into the PowerBI dashboard.
Once a CE has set a non-standard time, educators, TAs or supporting staff making other changes to quizzes will not affect time selection.
Note: once a non-standard time is selected TAs or supporting staff will no longer be able to change the time.
