Assessment tab enhancement
In January 2025, the Assessment tab of the Monash Standard Unit and Project templates got a refresh. Based on student and staff feedback, this new design delivers key requested features. These new features enable you to structure your assessments in new ways that reflect your teaching approach and processes. It also provides students with clearer expectations of their learning outcomes.

Why assessment enhancement?
Our goal is to give faculties more control of the Assessment structure on the Assessment page and provide new capability to surface assessment-related information.
- Eliminates “scroll of doom” by enabling structure and grouping.
- A single place for all key information on assessments in one place.
- Greater control for academics for what appears on the Assessment Structure table.
- Ability to group activities into Assessments, supporting assessments with multiple parts.
- Ability to re-order activities with Assessments in the Assessment Structure Table.
- Accommodates Assessment-As-Learning; students can now engage with milestones/reviews on the pathway to submission.
- Reducing workload in Moodle by utilising new logic and a Courseloop integration.
- Ability to provide faculty or unit-level support resources within the Unit Assessment Approach.
- Easier to find assessment-based forums, available in multiple places.
- The overdue status is more accurate on the Structure table.
