To support the goal of consistency across Moodle units, the Project Template looks very similar to the Standard Template at a first glance. It does, however, feature a range of changes that support learning and teaching in a non-synchronous, multi-topic manner.
This is to allow more flexible Learning Section structures.
By default, the top section is featured in the Learning Content Summary on the Unit dashboard. If you wish, you may add dates to the learning sections, and they will be featured as usual.
This feature supports self-paced or non-graded units.
This is done by navigating to the Assessments or Schedule tab, clicking the three dots next to the tab name, and the selecting Hide section.
This allows you to determine which dates are important for your students, and manually enter the information.
The Project Template schedule has three columns:
This example features two schedule sections, one labelled with a name, and one with a date.
Note: This is a rich text box, and you can add links. Multiple items for the same date or topic can be added on separate lines.
3. Items you wish to appear in the Additional Information/Tasks column should be entered in the Schedule Additional Information/Tasks box.
This supports multiple cohorts or project groups with differing schedules and timetables.
To add multiple schedules to the Schedule tab, click the three dots next to Schedule and select Add subsection.
Make sure each subsection has an appropriate title, and add details as above.
Access restrictions can be applied to schedules so that students will only see the appropriate schedule for their cohort or group.
